Golden Globes Recap

The award season has officially begun and last night marked the start of the three big award shows. The 70th annual Golden Globe awards honored the best of movies and television from this year. Switching up from Ricky Gervais (I’m sure he just insulted one too many to be asked back), funny women Tina Fey and Amy Poehler stepped in for hosting duties. I may go as far as saying they were the best hosts I’ve seen on an award show in a very long time. They kept the show going, whilst cracking genuinely funny jokes like dissing Avatar director James Cameron and Taylor Swift’s ridiculous dating record. The comedic duo did such a rave job hosting, it made me wonder why this has never been thought of before. But, if you have shamed me and missed the festivities from last night, here is a rundown of the winners list:
