If all my fellow fashionistas have been eyeing the fashion shows happening throughout the past week like I have, you’ve gotten a good indication of the trends we will soon be seeing in our favorite shopping locations for the spring season. In honor of the arriving fashions and season, I’ve put together a compilation of the hottest trends that anyone can work into their style!
Piece of Mint
The color of the season! Mint is everywhere these days and expect to see much more of it arriving. Everything from mint colored blouses to mint colored skinny jeans are all the rage. You can even add it to your jewelry to pop an outfit.
Bring on the ’70s… But in a more feminine way. Everything is blooming on the runway this season… From tops and bottoms, to dresses and shoes. Soft patterns of floral matched with a solid item (or even lace to add a more feminine touch) will definitely be an ensemble to add to your closet this season.
Denim and Lace
Perhaps one of the most popular trends of the season, mixing and matching denim and lace textured clothing is a style that can be dressed many different ways. It can be dressed up for a work day, dressed down for a laid-back weekend style, or add a little bohemian flavor for an outdoor concert.
Open Slit Dresses
Think maxi dresses with more than one slit down the bottom. We’ve been stylin’ a lot of hi-low dresses (one of my fave trends), but now we’re adding a little difference to the maxi dress. This is yet another trend that can be worn many different ways and for multiple occasions and will definitely give a peek-a-boo affect for your favorite features on a night on the town.
You’ll be looking so effortlessly cool while wearing this style. This laid-back trend is easy to wear and fun to ensenmble. Think faded ’80s band t-shirt, distressed jean shorts and feathered accessories to boot. To turn it up at nigh, add skinny jeans, studded leather jacket and wedge-booties.
Aztec print and feathered looks are perfect to add to this trend. Oversized tops and high-waisted denim is another way to sport this style. As a bohemian at heart myself, I tend to mix and match all of these trends while keeping my bohemian love alive.
This is the most sophisticated and high-class look of the trends. I call it “Hampton style” as I could totally see the rich and famous wearing these clothes while vacationing in the Hampton’s. Lots of horizontal white and navy stripes, light bottoms and blazer jackets. Also perfect to add style to your work days.
