A Lob is Not Just One Style: Julianne Hough Edition
“The Lob” is all the rage for Spring and Summer. In Hollywood it started with Julianne Hough, then went to Nikki Reed and most recently, Jennifer Lawrence. Ever since, women everywhere have been running to their stylists with pictures of these stars to replicate. One concern about this style is how “non-versatile” this length can be. Well, Julianne Hough, and her AH-MAZING Hollywood hairstylist Riawna Capir have created many different styles with this short length to prove this is, in fact, a very versatile length. Check out Hough’s many styles to try on your own shortened tresses.
Julianne has the perfect wave in her short ‘do.
She often uses the wave look, sometimes adding a bit more body with a deep side part.
One of my favorite looks is the “roll out of bed” look styled easily with a curling iron, leaving the top and ends free of heat and only curling the middle part of the strand.
Julianne sported a relaxed, crimped look at a movie premiere. So cute.
The headband braid is a favorite for Julianne, as she is often seen at events with a cropped updo and braid across the hairline.
Julianne attended the premiere of her movie Safe Haven in a romantic swept updo.
An easy, on-the-go look is a low pony with strands shaping the face.
For a more rock or punk look, Julianne illustrated an updo with a twist.
Julianne recently cut even more off her locks and created a sleek-straight look to emphasis to length.
For a more natural look, Julianne kept her tresses sleek and straight, with a middle parting.
