City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge

On Saturday, June 8th, the 23rd Annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge played ball in Nashville, Tennessee during the CMA Fest at Greer Stadium. Country stars came out in support of the City of Hope organization to raise money to help “strike out cancer”.

Florida Georgia Line duo suited up to play ball.

The two teams, The Grand Ole Opry vs. After MidNite, brought out stars like Florida Georgia Line, Phil Vassar, Scotty McCreery, Chuck Wicks, Brett Eldredge, Lauren Alaina, Maggie Rose and Bobby Bones to step up to the plate in honor of cancer stricken victims.

American Idol alum, Scotty McCreery, took to the plate for a cause.

Team Opry won the game with a score of 29 to 27. Florida Georgia Line duo Brian and Tyler definitely brought out their A game to help Opry run away with the win, but all-in-all everyone was a winner. The challenge brought in thousands of dollars to donate to cancer research.

Our friend Maggie Rose talked up her MVP award to press after the game.

Songstress Maggie Rose was proudly honored with the games MVP award after giving it her all. And even with all the activity, the stars made their way around to fans before, during and after the game to sign autographs and take pictures with attendees. True southern hospitality!
