Black Friday, or as I like to call it this year, Thanksgiving Thursday, is upon us. Some stores are holding off opening their doors until Friday morning, but the majority of the big retailers will be opening tonight after most of the Thanksgiving feasting has been finished. Yes, you can snag most deals online – and many have even been available earlier this week. But nothing beats that exciting rush of staying up all night, running from store to store with your friends and family checking people of your list of who’s left to buy for (at least for me).
With the stores switching things up so drastically this year, you’ll definitely need to re-evaluate your Black Friday/Thanksgiving Thursday strategy. Below are some of the exciting deals/freebies available today and tomorrow, along with opening times for the bigger stores (be sure to check your local store to confirm the times).
Happy shopping and may the odds be ever in your favor!
Target – 8 p.m.
There are a ton of deals in Target’s BF ad – also available online. I already ordered some of the doorbusters that I’m not sure would still be available in store. Keep in mind that if you make a $75 purchase on Black Friday, you’ll get a coupon for 20% off your purchase Dec. 1-7. Not bad!
Bath & Body Works – 8 p.m.
One of my favorite (and essential) stops for Black Friday is Bath & Body Works. Not only are the deals the best – buy 3 get 3 for signature items, 2 for $22 candles, etc. but the VIP bag valued at over $100 is also available for $20 (with a $40 purchase). I don’t usually end up using the bag, but I love the BBW products included. It’s also the only day of the year you can coupon stack (here’s one to get you started), so be sure to take full advantage of that! Can’t wait to pick this one up!

Victoria’s Secret – 8 p.m.
Another store with a free tote (as long as you’re making a $65+ purchase), is Victoria’s Secret. I’m not sure what’s included in this year’s bag, but I always love adding another weekend getaway bag to my collection and enjoy the perfumes, lotions, etc. that are included inside!

Yankee Candle – 5 a.m.
If you can’t tell, I’m really into these special bags from retailers. Yankee Candle is participating this year with a 10-piece gift tote of their own, $25 with any $50 purchase. Valued at over $100, I’m definitely interested in a lot of these items!

PetSmart – 7 a.m.
PetSmart is offering a free stocking filled with over $100 in coupons to the first 100 customers on Friday morning. I’m planning on making a stop there to pick up a few things for Sheba for Christmas. Namely some toys from the adorable Rudolph collection.
Petco – 8 a.m.
Another store for gifts for your pets – Petco. If you make an in-store purchase you’ll receive a pair of the adorable festive antlers pictured below. Keep in mind that these (like many of the other freebies) will go fast!
