Phone Case of the Month: December 2013 Review

I used to be content with the same phone case for at least a solid year prior to discovering Phone Case of the Month, a monthly subscription service that sends you a unique phone case (there are only 200 made of each design) along with a themed surprise for only $10.

My December case was unicorn-themed. At first I wasn’t sure how I felt about it, but the more I look at it, the more I love it. It actually reminds me a little of Harry Potter too, which makes it even better! This is my fifth case from PCOTM and I can’t get enough! The quality of the cases is top-notch and the designs are always really cool (there’s only one I wasn’t too crazy about).

Each case also comes with a card explaining the case/theme in more detail. There wasn’t much on this one, as like it says, the case speaks for itself. The surprise with this case was a button with a picture of a unicorn. Not very exciting but then again, what else would you pair with a unicorn case?

Unfortunately, you can’t choose the case you receive. I’ve seen some awesome ones that other subscribers have received that I keep hoping will land in my mailbox! But on the bright side, it is exciting when your package arrives and you have no idea what case you’re getting (unless you peek once your order ships).

PCOTM also has great customer service, which is a must! Although the tracking on my case said it arrived, USPS failed to deliver it (along with another package). When I reached out to the company, they immediately sent a replacement out and I received it a few days later.

What do you think of Phone Case of the Month? What types of cases would you like to see in the future? I’d love some more season/holiday themed ones!

Certainly a unique business idea – amazing how many "of the month" things there are available. I think it would be cool to see one with a "filter" wheel for your camera lens. Spin it for different colors or special effects & keep one window empty for regular pic option
