That Awkward Moment: Movie Review

Earlier this week I had a chance to see an advanced screening of the highly-anticipated, That Awkward Moment movie starring Zac Efron, Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan, which hits theaters nationwide tomorrow, Friday, January 31. If you’re wondering if the movie lives up to its hype, yes, yes it does. The chemistry between the three stars is awesome and I really hope to see them work together in the future!

Following three best friends in NYC, That Awkward Moment tells the story of just that – the awkward moments that occur throughout various stages of dating. I found the movie pretty interesting, since most movies that fall under a similar category are shown from a woman’s perspective (which is much more relatable). Seeing things from a guy’s perspective was a great spin on the topic, and was filled with lots of laughs.

Covering a variety of dating topics from breakups to makeups, new relationships and hookups, this is a great date night movie (provided there’s clarity as to where you stand with your date beforehand), that both the guys and us girls will appreciate and enjoy!

I was sent some amazing promotional items related to the movie, including: a bandana, “rock out” shirt, and drink stirrers, which pokes fun at one of the scenes in the trailer, where Zac Efron shows up dressed in a “Rock Out With Your Cock Out” costume. I’m thinking these items might come in use for Halloween later this year or even using the shirt as a standard workout shirt. Love!

We’ve been seeing trailers and clips of this film for quite some time but I have to admit, one of my favorite parts references the “so” moment, a clip I’ve probably watched a solid 10 times because it makes me laugh so much. We’ve all been there! Take a look at the clip below integrated with some cast commentary!

Are you planning to see That Awkward Moment? What’s your most awkward dating moment?
