The Secret Life of Walter Mitty on Google Play + Giveaway

Over the weekend I watched my first film on Google Play, thanks to 20th Century Fox. The Secret Life of Walter Mitty stars Ben Stiller, Kristen Wiig, Shirley MacLaine, and Sean Penn (to name a few), and is based off a short story written in the late 1930s (and original movie made in the ’40s).

The film follows Walter Mitty (Ben Stiller), an ordinary man who often gets caught wandering off into his own little world while daydreaming. When his and his coworker Cheryl’s (Kristen Wiig) jobs are threatened, he decides to finally take matters into his own hands, step outside of his comfort zone, and start living. Although the preview might have you a little confused with Walter’s real vs. fantasy life, the film pieces together, telling a great inspirational story, that left me feeling more ready than ever to start making plans and crossing things off my bucket list!

If you haven’t seen The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, you can pick it up on DVD or Blu-Ray beginning tomorrow, or download a digital copy today. If you’re needing a little push or feeling in a rut, this is one you’ll definitely want to add to your queue.

20th Century Fox produced an exclusive travel tumbler for The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and you can win one right here! Winner will be chosen at random and must live in the U.S. or Canada.

I’ve had big travel dreams for quite a while, and am so excited that this year, I’m finally pursuing them, one being the Sundance Film Festival in Utah earlier this year and a few other exciting adventures to come later this year (stay tuned for future posts)! A major step I’ve been putting off is renewing my passport, which I submitted a few weeks ago and received over the weekend. I’m finally making moves! Do you have a bucket list? What’re some of the dreams you want to pursue? How do you #LetLifeIn?

*Disclosure: I received a digital download copy of this movie for review purposes

  • I #LetLifeIn by driving in the country with the windows down.

  • I #LetLifeIn by connecting with Nature, stray cats and old books!

  • I #LetLifeIn by trying to appreciate each little moment with my kids, not seeing them as a burden but a blessing.
