Travelbox: May 2014 Review

I was so excited when I received notification that my Travelbox shipped last week and couldn’t wait for it to arrive. A monthly subscription box filled with items for frequent travelers or people on-the-go, Travelbox delivers the essentials for just under $20 each month.

SkinnyPop Popcorn
The first thing I noticed when I opened this month’s box was the bag of SkinnyPop Popcorn ($1.50), and at that moment, I knew it was going to be a great box. Popcorn is basically a food group for me (love it) and it’s great to find a low-cal, portioned snack in this brand! Although this bag is long gone, I’ll definitely purchase more, this would be a great in-flight snack!

08 Coasters
I love this set of 10 coasters from 08 Left ($18), featuring different airport codes and info on each. As a former Southwest Airlines intern, I geeked out big time, testing my knowledge of airport codes as I flipped through the set. Plus, you can never have enough coasters. I think these will be added as an office accessory!

30 Words – Spanish
I’d never heard of 30 Words prior to this month, but I’m so happy Travelbox introduced me to this! Although I wish it came in a language other than Spanish (I took Spanish for about 6 years during my school years), I love the idea of the 30 Words language guides ($10.95) to bring along on your travels. The waterproof, travel-size guide offers 900 words and phrases to help you converse in foreign countries. This is definitely something I want to invest in for other languages!

F1 Go Clean Shoe Bags
Flight 001 is one of my favorite travel brands so I was so excited to find them in this month’s box (especially since in my last review I mentioned wanting to see products from the company)! The F1 Go Clean Shoe Bags ($24) are a great place to store your shoes when traveling, keeping your shoes away from your clothes. Ironically I was checking these out a few weeks ago and considering purchasing them, so I’m glad I held off!

May’s box retailed out to about $55 and I loved every single item! I originally planned to only subscribe for a month or two at most, just to sample the box and review on the blog, but it’s safe to say that I’ll be around for awhile after two thumbs up, two months in a row. Love Travelbox!
