PopSugar Must Have: September 2014 Review

As we shift into the best season of the year (although it’s still really summer weather in Florida), I was very excited to see what kinds of items would be in September’s PopSugar Must Have box ($39.95/month)! The inspiration behind this month’s box were: autumn leaves, long walks, new tunes, back to school, fashion week, and football. Check out the contents below!

Rifle Paper Co. Garance Dore Assorted Girls Set
I’ve always been a fan of any kind of “office supplies,” and especially stationary, and Rifle Paper Co. is one of my favorites! In a digital age, it’s easy to just send a quick email or text, but there’s nothing quite like receiving a handwritten note. I can’t wait to use this set of Garance Dore Assorted Girls cards ($18)!

Urban Remedy Almond Brownie
I’m always down to try new desserts, and the Urban Remedy Almond Brownie ($6) is no exception! Although I haven’t given it a try just yet, I’m curious to see what this organic, gluten-free tastes like. It looks (and sounds) fab!

Oribe Superfine Purse Size Hair Spray
I don’t use hairspray too often since my hair’s pretty stubborn in holding, but I’m really happy to have this purse-size version of Oribe’s Superfine Hair Spray ($21.50) for the days that I do use hair spray! Much easier for touch ups than carrying a giant bottle of spray around – or none at all!

Letter C Design Gold Foil Arrow Pencils
One of the inspirations of September’s Must Have Box was back to school. I’m assuming this is the reason for the inclusion of the Gold Foil Arrow Pencils ($5). I’m loving the design on them – very classy! Unfortunately I’m not a pencil user though, so I think I’ll donate these.

Ghiradelli Milk Chocolate Sea Salt & Almond Minis
There is nothing quite like Ghiradelli chocolate. Their new Milk Chocolate Sea Salt & Almond Minis ($6) are SO GOOD. I’m divvying these up to leave half in my fridge at home and the rest in my office desk. I’d love to see a dark chocolate version of these as well but in the meantime.. yum!

Tilo Modal Gradation Scarf
Autumn leaves were another inspiration for this month’s box, so the Tilo Modal Gradation Scarf in Raisin ($125) seems pretty appropriate. Living in Florida, I don’t really have a need for scarves, but I have some trips to cooler weather planned this fall. I’ll definitely be getting use out of this – love the colors!

Nicole Miller Stereo Earbuds
I’m all set in the headphone category with my Beats by Dre and standard Apple headphones. I’ll likely end up donating these Nicole Miller Stereo Earbuds ($15) to a local children’s charity – I know they’re always looking for birthday and/or Christmas gifts and they’ll definitely get much more use from someone there!

Nike + Urban Remedy Gift Cards
I never really count gift cards towards the value of a subscription box since a lot of times they require a minimum purchase or you need to spend a lot more of your own money to buy something! This month, PopSugar included 2 gift cards – $10 towards Urban Remedy and another $20 for Nike (which has an expiration date of later next month). I’m hoping I’ll get some use out of these before they expire!

September’s PopSugar Must Have retailed out to about $197 (not including the gift cards). This one was 50/50 for me, but as usual, the value was great. I’m hopeful that the box next month will be full of pumpkins, Halloween, and other fall items!

What did you think of this month’s PS Must Have?
