PopSugar Must Have: October 2014 Review

October’s PopSugar Must Have boxes shipped pretty late for some reason, but I was happy when mine finally showed up! Fall is full of so many awesome things, so I couldn’t wait to see what PS had in store for us this month and had my fingers crossed for pumpkin and Halloween-related items.

Dean & Deluca Pumpkin Spice Maltballs
It’s kind of crazy to admit because so many people are obsessed with pumpkin spice everything, but I tried my first PSL earlier this month. I haven’t given the Dean & Deluca Pumpkin Spice Maltballs  ($5.50) a try yet (one pumpkin spice step at a time), but I’m very curious about them!

Nailed Kit Nail Art
The Nailed Kit Nail Art ($8) is so cute! I was bummed the box came so late in the month so I wasn’t able to get these to my sisters in time to rock before Halloween, so I’m not quite sure what I’ll do with them. I had already gotten my nails done by the time the box came and bright red doesn’t exactly go with the Halloween black and orange!

Happy Socks
As content as I am with my normal socks, Happy Socks ($12) are an exciting way to step up the sock game. I received a pair from a subscription box last year (I’m pretty sure it was PopSugar), but I’m happy to add another pair to my collection. Colorful socks with designs are way more awesome than the typical white plain ones!

Issac Jacobs Acrylic Magnet Photo Frame
The Issac Jacobs Acrylic Magnet Photo Frame ($27) is pretty awesome. It’s held together by magnets and is a little heavier than most frames I own. Although I do really like it, it does seem a little fancier than necessary. It’s crazy to imagine spending so much on one picture frame! But then again I didn’t pay retail price for it, so I’m content!

Mine Chalkboard Candle
I think my favorite item in October’s box was the Chalkboard Candle ($24). The soy candle smells amazing and I really love that you can write messages with chalk on the side of the candle! Something like this would make a great gift, but this is one item I’m definitely holding on to.

Butter London Wink Eye Pencil Crayon
For the most part I’ve stuck with the same eye liner for quite some time, but I was pretty happy to find a Butter London Wink Eye Pencil Crayon ($18) in this month’s box. It’s an earl grey color, which is a thumbs up because I’m not usually one to branch out and use wild colors.

k. hall designs Shea Butter/Olive Oil Soap

I wasn’t too impressed seeing the Shea Butter/Olive Oil Soap ($10) in my box. Something about finding a soap bar just isn’t that exciting. But the more I look at it, it’s starting to grow on me. I LOVE anything shea butter, so I just might have to give this a try.

October’s PopSugar Must Have retailed out to about $105, which is ridiculously awesome considering I paid just under $40 for it. There were some pretty nice item’s in this month’s box, but nothing that I really consider a “must have.” I’m hoping November will bring some good things!

Did you receive this month’s box? What was your favorite item?
