I’m a little late in getting October’s Golden Tote review up, sorry! My GT arrived a little later than usual this month (potentially due to the company moving to a new location), but luckily showed up right before my long weekend trip to Rhode Island, so I was able to wear some of the awesome new fall clothes I received!
In addition to my large tote order, I added a sweater that became available mid-month since my tote hadn’t shipped, and the “Keep A Breast” bundle, benefiting the non-profit, Keep A Breast. Big GT month for me! Check out what I received below (and click here to see my previous GT reviews)!
Ellison High Waisted Pants
The first item I chose in my tote was the Ellison High Waisted Pants. I was nervous to order them because you never know how pants will fit – and high waisted pants are new to my wardrobe. It’s hard to get the full feel for what these look like just hanging up, but they’re awesome! The material is a step up too so you can definitely dress these up.
My second pick was the Ivory Owl Cardigan. I was surprised to see a normal cardi as one of the chosen items since I’ve only seen them as surprises thus far with GT, but I don’t have anything like this one in my closet and love the uniqueness. The cardigan’s made of the softest material, so needless to say, this is my new favorite cardigan!
Lace Panel Pullover
The Lace Panel Pullover ($35) was originally included in the list of “chosen” items for October, but due to a vendor issue it wasn’t available on sale day. As mentioned above, it was stocked mid-month, so I was able to add it on to my tote. This sweater is SO cozy and my new favorite! Very happy that I ended up adding it on.
Priddy by Puella Wrap Dress
At first glance I wasn’t sold on this the Wrap Dress, but after trying it on, I love it! It’s actually extremely flattering, and just the perfect length and material to wear to work on cooler days. I’ve already received quite a few compliments on this one!
I love the color of the Everly Top, but am on the fence on this one. It seems tight when putting it on, but once actually on, the top is very flowy. I haven’t seen it pop up on the GT boards, so not sure if it’s been a keeper for others or if only a handful of people have received it.
Ellison Jersey Sweater
The Ellison Jersey Sweater is perfect! This was the first item I wore from October’s GT, which I brought with me on my trip. It’s a little see through so a tank needs to be worn underneath, but it’s another cozy one!
Cut + Sew by Golden Tote Open Cardigan
The final surprise item I received was the Cut + Sew by Golden Tote Jewel-Toned Cardigan. The colors are a little out there, but a pattern fit for the fall/winter season. I’m a huge fan of cardigans since it’s always freezing in my office, but I’m not crazy about this one. My uncertainty was further validated when my boyfriend told me I looked like the Fresh Prince of Bel Air when I tried it on for him. I think I’ll be donating this one.
Separate from my large tote was the Keep A Breast Bundle, which helped support the Keep A Breast Foundation in honor of October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I loved seeing GT partner with a charity – I’d definitely like to see more of it in the future!
Keep A Breast Bundle
The Keep A Breast Bundle cost $25 and included a t-shirt, beanie, socks, and bracelet. I’ll definitely get good use out of all of these and am very pleased with the colors I chose (there were 3 options on GT).
I ended up spending a little more than I had wanted to on items from October’s Golden Tote, but there were so many awesome things I couldn’t resist. There was only one item that I definitely don’t want to keep (it seems to be the one every GT-er’s trying to get rid of), which is awesome for not having tried them on in store.
This month’s (November) Golden Tote goes on sale TODAY at noon EST! Happy shopping!
