BarkBox: February 2015 Review

Sheba’s BarkBox came a little later than expected last month, so in return, our review is a little late getting up, seeing as we’re halfway through March! February’s theme was Mardi Gras, so fun! I love when subscription boxes are in line with whatever’s going on holiday-wise. It allows our pups to get on board with them too!

Our February BarkBox arrived a tad damaged. It looked like another dog got a hold of it and tried to dive in! I scoped out the contents and everything seemed to be in order though. Phew!

Delca Jester Ball
The Jester ball ($9) is a BarkBox exclusive, which is pretty cool! Although this festive ball has a squeaker in it, it’s not one Sheba’s too excited about. Only furry squeaking toys seem to do for my pup – I wish it’s something I could add a note to BB about!

Etta Says Chicken Pot Pie Little Bitz
Etta Says is a brand we’re familiar with and love, so I was happy to find one of their products in Sheba’s February box. This particular treat ($9) isn’t one Sheba had tried before (it’s usually just the chews), but nonetheless, she loved it!

Aussie Naturals Salmon Half Cigar
I got a kick out of the Salmon Half Cigar ($5). It’s essentially a chew treat, but looks like a cigar. Sheba ate this one up pretty quickly. I don’t think there’s a chew she’s ever disliked!

New Angle Pet Junior Gulpy
The Gulpy ($9) was my favorite item that BarkBox included in this box! I’ve actually been eyeing these types of water dispensing products for awhile, trying to figure out which one to invest in (if any), but now I don’t have to worry about it. We’ll definitely be getting good use out of this product!

PetSafe Catfish Po-Boy with Chicken
The air-tight bag of Catfish Po-Boy with Chicken ($7) sounds pretty gross to me, but then again I’m not a seafood person. Well, like mother like daughter. Sheba wasn’t a fan of these, so I ended up tossing them (they were only good for 3 days). Good thing I read the disclaimer on the product card included in the box!

February’s BarkBox retailed out to about $39, almost double the price we paid for the box! Although it wasn’t a complete hit, we received a few things Sheba loved, and we’ll donate the remainder to the Humane Society, as usual.

Does your dog receive BarkBox? What theme would you like to see in a future box?

I've always wanted to try Barkbox! I'm most intrigued by the catfish po boys – so gourmet sounding!
