My 8th Stitch Fix just arrived and instead of sitting on it like I normally do for a week or so, I wanted to get my review up right away, so I can get some opinions from you lovely readers!
As you all know, my last Fix was a complete bust. Apparently it was just an off month entirely for the company based on the other reviews I saw as well. But I think this month, they’re making a comeback!
Pixley McCarthy Cutout Detail Blouse ($48)
Most of the time, I either instantly like or don’t like clothes I try on. But this Cutout Detail Blouse is one that I can’t seem to read myself on. I like it, but I’m unsure about the cutout part. What do you think? Verdict: On the fence
Fun2Fun Isabelle Crochet Tank Top ($48)
I was really hoping for the Isabelle Crochet Tank Top and was SO excited when it showed up in my Fix! Normally I try to stay away from white/ivory-colored things because I’m likely to spill on it, but with every rule, there’s an exception. I love this top! Verdict: Keeping
Kut from the Kloth Alfie Denim Cargo Short ($78)
I requested a pair of green cargo shorts that I had seen in other Fixes while poking around Pinterest. Unfortunately, they were out of stock, but sent a denim pair instead. Apologies for the repeat picture, but I forgot to snap one closer up! I like them, but I’m worried about the size. They fit, but are 98% cotton, and if they shrink much more, well, they probably won’t fit. Shorts are a tricky thing. Verdict: On the fence
Mavi Aiden Distressed Skinny Jean ($98)
I swore off jeans for the time being since I have more than enough pairs in my dresser already. I don’t have any light wash though, and when I tried these distressed skinnies on, I was thinking I need a pair of light wash jeans. The downside? The gaping holes in the knee. I know they’re distressed, and it’s the “style” but actual giant holes? I don’t think I can justify the cost with them. Verdict: Likely returning
THML Kahlo Short Sleeve Knit Top ($44)
I had pinned the tank top version of this shirt, but since they didn’t have any in stock, I was sent the short sleeve version of the Kahlo Knit Top. At first glance I was thinking I wouldn’t be into it, but after trying it on, I’m kinda digging it. I LOVE the colors and I like that it’s a flowy, more relaxed top. Verdict: Keeping
This was a much better Fix than last month, despite me still being on the fence on a few things. The other reason I’m still torn, there’s a potential price DECREASE happening with my Fix. This is my first time inquiring about the SF policy, but I found the shorts and jeans at other retailers for a lower price. SF promises to match that lower price if the items in question are identical, so hopefully I’ll have a response in the next couple days. If I do get the price match, I could potentially save another almost $40, not including the 25% discount if I kept everything. Pretty crazy!
