It’s Stitch Fix time again! This month I requested some fun pieces for my Charleston trip (which took place a couple weeks ago) and this week’s BlogHer conference that I’m attending. It’s always much more helpful to give specifics to your stylist in terms of what you’re looking for, so I couldn’t wait to see what was sent to me!
I found out my usual stylist Emily was on vacation from the note included in my Fix (love the personalization), so Hannah styled this one for me. Let’s see what she picked.
Renee C Armen Crew Neck Blouse ($44)
The first item I pulled out of the box was this Crew Neck Blouse. My initial feeling was bleh, too many colors/patterns/things going on. When I tried it on, I felt the same way. Plus, it was a little big in the back and on the sides. Verdict: Returned
Skies are Blue Moraga Cut Out Detail Blouse ($48)
I love the color of this blouse! I was a little iffy about it overall, because I wasn’t sure about the cut out part. But after sending a few people photos of me in it, and hearing everyone liked it, I felt more confident about keeping it. And now, I’m really happy I kept it! Verdict: Kept
41 Hawthorn Harriet Geo Print Fit & Flare Dress ($64)
I was very excited that this dress was included, as I had pinned it on my Style board for my stylist to see. I love the look of this dress, and the material is very comfortable! I’m thinking of rocking this one at BlogHer! Verdict: Kept
Bickenhall Split Back Top ($44)
I had mixed feelings on this top. I usually don’t wear much white since I’m prone to spills, but the biggest bust for me was the split back part. They just never work too well on me. Otherwise this would’ve been a great work-to-night-out-top. Verdict: Returned
Kensie Rebekah Contrast Detail Blazer ($88)
Apologies for the blurry photo on the left! This blazer was AMAZING. The only problem? I never wear blazers, since my office attire is business casual. While I really wanted to keep it and maybe nap in it (SOOO comfy), I couldn’t justify spending so much money on it. If there ever comes a time that I do need a blazer, I’ll request this one and buy it, no questions asked! Verdict: Returned
I ended up keeping 2 of the 5 items sent, and have decided that I need to be a little more intentional with the pieces I’m keeping. Do I absolutely love them? Will I wear them a lot? Key criteria for whether or not I’m going to keep something going forward. Otherwise, I’ll need to start storing clothes in my oven like Carrie Bradshaw!
Have you tried Stitch Fix? What do you think of the service?
Side note – I’m not sure that I’ll make an appearance here tomorrow due to my crazy-packed schedule at BlogHer! Follow along on Instagram + Twitter @rachelgault to keep up with my blogger conference adventures! See you back here (most likely) on Monday!
