Tasty Thursday: No-Bake Energy Bites

I’m trying to incorporate some healthier options (especially when it comes to snacks) into my diet, but like most people, find myself crunched on time.

I’ve been hearing (or really seeing) a lot of hype about these “no-bake” energy bites lately, so after some researching and the combination of a few recipes, decided to give it a try!

What You’ll Need (Ingredients)

1 cup dry oats/oatmeal

1/2 cup peanut butter

1/2 cup flax seed

1/2 cup chocolate chips

1/3 cup honey

1 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions

Stir all of the ingredients together in a bowl until mixed well. Then cover and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.

Once chilled, roll into balls and then store in container, keeping refrigerated for up to 1 week.

That’s it! I was pleasantly surprised at how easy these were to make. Throwing a bunch of ingredients in a bowl and stirring is seriously the best way to whip up dishes – super simple!

As far as energy goes, I did feel a little boost of energy when I ate these, but then again that could be me psyching myself into believing it :) Regardless, they’re delicious!
