Tasty Thursday: Chicken Alfredo

I’ve been on a crockpot roll lately! It’s just so much easier for making meals, especially when you’re crunched for time at the end of the day. My latest recipe? Chicken Alfredo!

What You’ll Need (Ingredients)

  • 1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1 jar Alfredo sauce
  • 1 (12 ounce) bag frozen broccoli cuts
  • ½ box bowtie pasta, cooked

Place chicken in crockpot and pour sauce over. Then cover and cook on low for 6 hours.

At the end of the sixth hour, add broccoli and cover + cook for 1 more hour.

Once you hit the last 15 minutes or so of the crockpot cook-time, cook your pasta on the stove.

Once the pasta’s ready, drain it and then add to the crcokpot. If you prefer extra sauce with your pasta/meal, this would be a good point to mix in a little more. If not, just give the mixture a little stir to allow the pasta to soak up some of the flavor.

After this, you’re ready to serve and enjoy!

Have you tried any new recipes lately?

Oh but Alfredo sauce from scratch is soooo much fun to make!
This is a nice little dish and people think you worked your tush off!
I’d throw in some canned or jarred button mushrooms. :)
    Try broccolini instead of broccoli!

I’m not a big fan of mushrooms but broccolini sounds good! I’d definitely love to try making sauce from scratch but that’s for another day when I have more time :)

Chicken alfredo is one of my favorite dishes. I have never tried the Buitoni pre-made sauce but I will look for it in the store now. #tbbloggers
