Last week I received my very last Stitch Fix for 2015. I was thinking about skipping the month but by the time I was ready to do so, it was too late to cancel, so I accepted that it’d be a nice last-minute Christmas present from me to me. I was a little worried about what would be sent since I forgot to pin and/or request items since I was out of the country, but it actually ended up working out extremely well!
Let’s see what my stylist, Emily, sent!
Collective Concepts Lorele Peplum Blouse ($58)
As soon as I put this blouse on, I loved it! It’s one of those multi-use ones, where it can be worn to work, a nice dinner, or a night out! I know this one’s going to get tons of use! Verdict: Kept
Pixley Kathy Striped Fit & Flare Dress ($68)
Normally horizontal stripes (with the exception of a few items) are a “no” for me. I wasn’t having good feelings when I pulled this one out of the box. I have a black and white striped top that I love and call my Hamburglar shirt, but this one just seemed like it’d be a “just escaped from jail” dress. I was proven wrong once I tried it on. The Flare Dress was much more flattering than I expected and the position of the stripes shifted slightly, which was a huge help. I think throwing a blazer over this would complete the outfit! Verdict: Kept
19 Cooper Cathleen Metallic Dot Tulip-Sleeve Blouse ($48)
Another one I was iffy on when I pulled it out of the box. There’s just a lot going on on this shirt. But when I tried it on, I realized it’d be a perfect blouse for NYE or another good one for a night on the town! Verdict: Kept
Market & Spruce Colibri Plaid Printed Tab-Sleeve Shirt ($58)
My stylist was definitely in sync with me on this plaid shirt. This was one I planned to pin and request for this Fix before realizing it was too late, but thanks to Emily, she read my mind and sent it anyway! The material is super soft and it’s just a great casual shirt! Plus, the only plaid I currently have is in the form of PJ pants, so I’m happy to add this to my closet! Verdict: Kept
Mystree Jackie Striped French Terry Asymmetrical Jacket ($78)
There was only one item I wasn’t totally crazy about and it was this asymmetrical jacket. I just feel so awkward about them. I wore a tank underneath to try it on and as you can see, the jacket is much shorter, and I’m not much of a fan of short tops. That said, it’s more bearable unzipped. I would’ve sent this one back, but since I decided to keep everything else, it was actually cheaper for me to keep it than return it, due to the 25% keep all items discount. So, I’ll give it a try! Verdict: Kept
So there you have it, my December Fix! With the exception of one item I had “eh” feelings on, my stylist really hit this one out of the park! Not to mention, reminded me to not judge things at first glance before giving them a try!
I’ll be taking a break from Stitch Fix for a couple months because I really need to do that big closet clean-out I’ve been putting off for so long, and also because between Europe and Christmas, my wallet really needs a break!
