As I get older, I realize my body isn’t what it used to be. I can’t eat all the junk food or pull lots of all-nighters. But oftentimes when I hear the phrase “healthier lifestyle,” I automatically think “ugh.” But here’s the thing. It doesn’t have to be like that. In fact, there are several simple ways you can live healthier that don’t require you cutting all of your guilty pleasures out.

Make Time for Exercise
If you’re regular gym-goer, good for you! If not, there’s still easy ways you can sneak some exercise time into your day. Take a 10-15 minute walk during your lunch break, park in the back of the parking lot at work so you stretch your legs a bit more on the way in/out. As scary as the word “exercise” can sound, it doesn’t have to be a super intense workout for it to count.

Get a Good Night’s Sleep
It’s recommended that adults get 7-8 hours of sleep per night. I know it can be tough to get yourself into bed at a reasonable hour every night, but if you can, it’ll make all the difference! If it’s not something you’re currently hitting, start small with going to bed earlier once a week, then slowly up to two, three, etc.
