5 Simple Ways to Live Healthier

As I get older, I realize my body isn’t what it used to be. I can’t eat all the junk food or pull lots of all-nighters. But oftentimes when I hear the phrase “healthier lifestyle,” I automatically think “ugh.” But here’s the thing. It doesn’t have to be like that. In fact, there are several simple ways you can live healthier that don’t require you cutting all of your guilty pleasures out.

Think Positive

It’s kind of crazy how much of an impact a positive outlook can have on your health. Not only is it a mood booster, but it also boosts your immune system and overall health. So next time you find yourself feeling a “Negative Nancy” moment coming on, change your mindset to find the positivity in whatever the situation may be.

Make Time for Exercise

If you’re regular gym-goer, good for you! If not, there’s still easy ways you can sneak some exercise time into your day. Take a 10-15 minute walk during your lunch break, park in the back of the parking lot at work so you stretch your legs a bit more on the way in/out. As scary as the word “exercise” can sound, it doesn’t have to be a super intense workout for it to count.

Drink Lots of Water

Keeping yourself hydrated is SO important. Not only does it help flush any toxins out, but it also helps keep you energized, your skin looking clear/good, and really just keeps things flowing properly. The standard recommendation is 64 oz., so carry a big water bottle/cup around with you to make sure you’re drinking enough!

Take Your Vitamins

While healthy eating is great for giving your body the nutrients it needs, it’s also important to take vitamins to help fill in the gaps to ensure you’re getting the essential nutrients. Growing up, I loved my chewable or gummy vitamins, but as I got older, I’ve found there aren’t as many similar options for adults. Until now.

Centrum MultiGummies and Raspberry Vitamints, now available at Walgreens, bring back the childhood nostalgia and make taking vitamins fun again, giving us adults the option of a chewable raspberry flavored tablet or fruity gummies. Yes, please!

“Get Vitamins Here. Change Lives Everywhere.” In addition to giving your immune system a boost, Walgreens will also make a donation to Vitamin Angels with every vitamin purchase. Just pop over to the vitamin aisle – you can’t miss the bright, fun, colors of the Centrum brand!

Get a Good Night’s Sleep

It’s recommended that adults get 7-8 hours of sleep per night. I know it can be tough to get yourself into bed at a reasonable hour every night, but if you can, it’ll make all the difference! If it’s not something you’re currently hitting, start small with going to bed earlier once a week, then slowly up to two, three, etc.

What are your favorite simple ways to live healthier? Are you team gummy vitamins or team chewables?
