Fun Findings Friday #165

Say it with me – TGIF! Is it just me or did the days seem to drag on longer than usual this week? I think all of the craziness of life (i.e. work, school, travel, blog) caught up to me, because I’ve been feeling a bit under the weather, but I’m hoping to bounce back quickly because today is my little sister’s birthday, which means a big celebration is ahead this weekend! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RY!

Tell me, what’re you looking forward to doing this weekend? Lounging? Beaching? Whatever it is, I hope it’s a great one! Here are this week’s fun findings for some light reading to roll into the weekend!

Bath & Body Works Throwback Scents

I can confidently say that I’ve shopped at Bath & Body Works for at least 16 years, and still remember some of my favorite scents from back in the day (read: the 90s). Well, after what I’m sure have been tons of requests, the company has finally brought back some of their top-sellers from years ago, in their “Flashback Fragrances” campaign! I know my shopping cart will fill up pretty quickly with these! What’s your favorite throwback scent?

What Should I Read Next

I discovered the What Should I Read Next tool yesterday thanks to Jenn at Hello Rigby. While I still have a stack of books waiting to be read on my bookshelf, I’m loving this tool, which offers a suggested list of reads based on the last book you read (or one you really like). For example, Me Before You was my last read, and ironically several books on my “to read” list popped up (e.g. Big Little Lies and Pretty Girls), confirming that I should read them next.

Carpool Karaoke: Broadway Edition

By now you know I’m obsessed with James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke segments. This week it’s a bit different than usual. With a completely packed car in NYC, it’s the broadway edition! And no surprise, front and center is Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creator and star of the biggest show today, Hamilton (I’m still dying to see it)! Watch below and enjoy!

Isn’t it?! I wish I could hop into the car and join in! You might have to stop into a store to smell all of the throwback scents. Maybe it’ll come back to you!

The last time I was in B&BW, I asked one of the associates if it was true they were bringing these scents back. They bring me back to 7th & 8th grade when the girls in my class would obnoxiously spray themselves, in the classroom. I love What Should I Read Next & last weeks Carpool Karaoke!

    • June 12, 2016 / 11:49 PM

Haha, oh no! Hopefully there will be some scents that don’t bring back memories like that! I remember when they had the glitter line for pre-teens!

    • June 12, 2016 / 11:49 PM

Me too! Do you have a favorite vintage scent?

What should I read next sounds awesome! I’m going to have to check that out. Also, it’s been a few months since I went into BBW because I’ve been burning through my stock of candles. I might have to check it out.

  14. June 14, 2016 / 6:08 AM

I’ve never heard of What Should I Read Next tool, but I’m checking it out right this minute! This tool was made for me!!
