Well hello there, Friday! Is it just me or is this month flying? I was expecting to have a decent amount of free time for a few weeks but things ended up being pretty busy! I can’t wait for some downtime this weekend to really get some decluttering/cleaning done and finish this Gilmore Girls binge-watch I’ve been working on for a while! But first, let’s get to this week’s fun findings.
Keep the Change Doormat
I love switching up my front doormat every once in a while and have been on the hunt for a new option. Then I stumbled across this brilliant one ($38). It’s not even fall yet, but I’ve already got the Christmas season on my mind. Love this Home Alone reference!
The Very Hungry Zombie
There are a few books that are must-haves for every kid growing up. One of them? The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. I recently stumbled across a parody of the book, titled The Very Hungry Zombie (this one is NOT for kids) and think it’s pretty hysterical. For any fellow fans of The Walking Dead/zombies, here’s a funny one to check out.
Harry Potter Things
Last month at the biggest geek convention, SDCC, a whole slew of new movie trailers were released. But the one that was most exciting? This new one for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them! I’m so excited for more of the wizarding world, especially after the release of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child earlier this month!
In other exciting HP news, Universal Orlando announced that the 2017 Harry Potter Celebration will take place January 27-29 and packages are already selling out. I’m disappointed that they gipped annual passholders with requiring us to have a 3-night hotel stay and not including some of the bigger selling points of the event though (i.e. photo opps and meet-and-greet with the film talent).
Last but not least, J.K. Rowling announced that 3 short stories from Hogwarts will be released on September 6. I will take all the Harry Potter reading material I can get!
