Snaps for Friiiiiday! This week was pretty good overall, just insanely busy! I’m very much looking forward to a low-key night in continuing my binge of HBO’s Silicon Valley (SO funny + accurate when it comes to the tech world) ahead of a beer fest this weekend and of course, celebrating mom on Mother’s Day!
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend – and don’t forget to call your mom on Sunday (if you’re not close enough to see her in person on Sunday)!
Morning Brew Newsletter
My absolute favorite email newsletter/way to keep up with everything going on in the world is theSkimm. But I recently stumbled across the Morning Brew newsletter, which is a great resource to keep up with the latest news in the business world (in super simple terms).
Netflix Originals in May
Netflix has been releasing new original content left and right, and I’m loving it! This month is a big one for new seasons of some my faves and a documentary I’m really interested in seeing! Here’s what you need to know.
- The Keepers (May 19): Documentary unraveling (and what seems like major cover ups) the cold case of a nun in 1970
- Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: (May 19): Season 3 returns with Kimmy headed off to college! Oh boy…
- Bloodline (May 26): The Rayburns are the most dysfunctional crazy family, but this show is seriously gripping. I can’t wait to see what happens in the final season of this one!
- House of Cards (May 30): The last season moved a little slow at times, but the ending really set the scene for what seems like will be an intense election battle when season 5 returns. Truly the only politics-related thing I actually enjoy hearing/seeing about!
Getting Through the Workday (in Tom Hanks Clips)
Tom Hanks is one of my favorite actors, and with the variety of roles he’s played in movies, it’s easy to see why. Viral Thread pulled together this awesome clip of getting through the workday (or more so what the workday is like) via clips of Tom Hanks films. SO accurate, especially at 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., ha! Is there a time you most relate to?
