Happy Friday, friends! Apologies for the unexpected silence over the past week. I had every intention of getting ahead on blog things prior to jetting off to New England for the week but it just didn’t happen. I totally underestimated all of the things I had scheduled right before (i.e. a day at Disney, 2 concerts, and a bridal shower). But now that I’m back, I plan to get some serious R&R this weekend and be back to regularly scheduled programming here on Small Towns & City Lights. Thanks for bearing with me!
Did you catch the eclipse earlier this week? It’s crazy how fast the free pairs went and how much the prices skyrocketed online. We managed to snag 2 pairs of glasses at the last minute, and only paid $2 each, which was pretty exciting! While we weren’t in the “path of totality,” (which sounds like such a ridiculous thing to say), it was still pretty cool to watch the process up to 80%!
Lisa Frank Pajamas
Where my 90s kids at?! Have you seen Target’s new line of Lisa Frank PJs (you can the styles here, here, here, and here)? I’ve been all heart-eyed emoji looking at these for a few weeks now (they flew off the shelves and sold out online almost instantly), but they FINALLY restocked on Target.com and you better believe I scooped up that adorable tiger sleep shirt. Can’t wait for it to reach my doorstep tomorrow!
Taylor Swift’s New Single
It’s been THREE years since we’ve had new tunes from Taylor Swift, despite her usual pattern of releasing a new album every two. But late last night, she dropped a new single, “Look What You Made Me Do!” I have mixed feelings on it, but can’t wait for the new album coming, November 10! Based on this new single (and all of the crazy things T’s been in the tabloids for), I think we’re going to get some pretty good music!
And while we don’t have any tour dates yet, there is a list of cities available. If you’re interested in eventually getting tickets, you’ll want to register to become a verified fan through Ticketmaster (it’s free)! This is how T-Swift’s attempting to combat the whole ticket scalping madness and registration closes at the end of November!
