Happy fall, ya’ll! So weird that today’s officially the first day of the fall season considering it’s still in the 80s and 90s here in Florida. But things are FINALLY starting to feel back to normal after all of that hurricane madness. This weekend is going to be be a low-key one for me, which is much needed after the hurricane, travel, and more travel coming up! Let’s dive into this week’s fun findings.
Ole Henriksen Moisturizer
I’ve mentioned a few times that I’m kind of a creature of habit when it comes to makeup/skincare brands, but I’ve been trying to branch out and try new ones this year. So far I haven’t had too much success, until about a month ago when I decided to try Ole Henriksen. Guys, I’m totally hooked on this stuff. In particular, the moisturizer. It’s lightweight, not sticky, and has been great on my skin! If you haven’t tried it out yet, I highly recommend!
iPhone 8 + iPhone X
Can we start off by talking about the two new iPhone models out? This is the first release in YEARS that I haven’t pre-ordered a phone, but talk about being thrown off with two models! I was really loving that animoji feature on the iPhone X (available for pre-order in a couple weeks), but just can’t justify that crazy price tag. What happened to the days when phones were $200-300?! I will say that I’m really disappointed that Apple got rid of the 128GB model this time around. So the only options are 64GB (too small) or 256GB (super big). Nothing for Goldilocks here! But anywho, I decided I’m going to upgrade to the iPhone 8 because I can’t justify that nearly $1200 price tag for the iPhone X and am not sure I’m ready to jump into the full screen/no home button features. Will you be upgrading this time around?
Pennywise (IT) Dancing
I stumbled across a Twitter account yesterday that’s hysterical and terrifying all at the same time. Pennywise Dancing takes one scene from the new IT movie (of Pennywise the clown dancing) and adds music to popular songs behind it. Warning: Creepy clown video below (but also this is genius)! And with my trip to Ireland rapidly approaching, I couldn’t help but pick “Come On, Eileen” as the song to share!
