Tasty Thursday: Baked Mac & Cheese

I’ve had big kitchen ambitions for quite some time now and over the weekend, finally decided to get a little fancier with my meals. Well, at least one. Sunday’s dinner (and a lot of leftovers this week) was baked macaroni and cheese with meat (you can opt out of the meat if you’re a vegetarian). I found this recipe to be pretty easy to put together (minus the number of dishes I had to clean after) and recommend it to anyone looking for a quick and easy dish to whip together.

Here’s what you’ll need (Ingredients):
1 box of elbow macaroni
2 packages of shredded cheese
1 lb. of meat
1 container of bread crumbs

Directions:
1 – Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2 – Cook elbow macaroni and drain
3 – Brown meat in skillet
4 – Scoop macaroni into one layer in casserole dish, top with shredded cheese and breadcrumbs
5 – Add a second layer of macaroni, shredded cheese and breadcrumbs. Repeat until dish is full.
6 – Bake in oven for 30-40 minutes until breadcrumbs are golden brown
7 – Take dish out of oven and let cool
