Staying active is very important to me. So much so, that my daily step goal is 10,000 (which I track with my Jawbone). Fortunately for me, I have a built-in exercise plan as a dog mom, walking my pup at least twice a day. But living in Florida, my standard shoe is an extremely unsupportive pair of flip-flops. And when I’m not wearing those, it’s heels and other shoes that aren’t doing my feet any good.
Vionic kindly sent me a pair of their Venture Walker shoes to boost to get my exercise on, and even though I’ve only had them for a couple days, I can already feel a HUGE difference in support for my feet. And though I’m typically not one to love tennis shoes, I love these. They’re so comfortable!
With February being Heart Month, it’s a reminder for you to do things to keep your heart healthy, which is as simple as dedicating some time to walking each day. If you’re looking for a place to start, consider participating in the 2015 Vionic Walkabout. It’s a 30-day challenge to dedicate 30 minutes (or more) each day to walking. Hopefully some healthy habits can be formed with participating!
