Fun Findings Friday #128

TGIF! And a payday one at that! As usual, I’m welcoming the weekend with open arms. There are some exciting things on my agenda including a haircut, a wine tasting, possibly tracking down weekend filming spots for The Infiltrator (currently filming in the area), and a new episode of Orphan Black! Also, I’m working on some exciting blog stuff! I have a few giveaways coming up in the next few weeks (starting next week), so stay tuned!

The Girl on the Train
I’ve been in a bit of a reading rut lately, but decided to give it another go with The Girl on the Train. I had heard SO much about this book online and IRL, so I curled up with it last weekend. And let me tell you, this book definitely pulled me out of my rut! I basically read it in a day and a half. If you liked Gone Girl, you’ll probably dig this one too! Now I just have to figure out what my next read will be. Any suggestions?

Aqua Notes
A lot of times, I do my best thinking in the shower. So my discovery of Aqua Notes ($7) is pretty exciting! The waterproof notepad + pencil sticks to your shower wall and based on the solid reviews, I’m thinking I’ll need to order one of these stat so I don’t forget any fab ideas (or forget to add something to my grocery shopping list).

Best Dance Scenes Compilation
Some brilliant person put together this compilation of a bunch of the greatest dance scenes in movie history to the tune of WALK THE MOON’s “Shut Up and Dance,” which I’ve been jamming to quite a bit. This video makes me want to do two things – have a movie marathon to re-watch all of these great films, and also/mainly, get up and dance! Happy weekend, ya’ll!

  • I couldn't find the Girl on the Train at the library so i settled for a few other reads from my list. I just finished The Hidden Girl by Louise Millar and The Last Letter from Your Lover by JoJo Moyes you might wanna check out.

  • Artsnark

Caught GOTT a few month's back. It was a quick read! Have you read The Good Girl yet? It was okay. My favorite this month was an odd little novella, Steven L Peck's A Short Stay In Hell.

  • I will, thanks for the recs! I love thriller/mystery books so these seem right up my alley!

  • I haven't but it sounds really good, thanks for sharing! Peck's book sounds really interesting too!

aqua note sounds kind of genius! i one up with the best ideas in the shower :)

  • Run DMT

Ooooo….I need those notes! I do some of my BEST thinking in the shower! Probably because it's the only time I'm alone around here! lol That book sounds fab too! I love Gone Girl. Visiting from #FridaySharefest
