It’s Stitch Fix time again! I mentioned in my last review/earlier this month that I doubled up on fixes last month, so with this review, we’ll be all caught up!
If you’re new around here, here’s the quick 411 on SF. It’s a clothing styling service by mail that you order on your own schedule – no commitments (although you’ll probably be hooked after box 1)! For $20, a box of 5 items will be styled just for you, based on a style profile you fill out upon sign up. You can request specific items or item types (e.g. dress for X occasion), but you only have to pay for what you keep (and that $20 fee will go toward it)!
For this Fix, I requested a LBD (little black dress) because I realized I don’t really have a decent one, a blazer for work functions, and some spring/summer weekend clothes. Let’s see what my stylist Emily sent (you can check out my previous reviews here)!
Papermoon Alexus Dress ($68)
This dress is THE BEST! I felt like goldilocks when I tried it on – not too tight, not too loose. Juuuuust right. This can be dressed up or down, so you better believe this LBD is going to be worn quite a bit! Verdict: Kept
Creative Commune Lizza Split Neck Blouse ($58)
This blouse seemed a bit busy to me when I pulled it out of the box, but I’ve been wrong before, so I still gave it a try. Definite no-go. While the silky soft material was great, it was pretty loose, and not one I was a fan of. Verdict: Returned
Wells Grace Dovello Split Back Knit Top ($48)
I had some extreme (and quick) opinion shifts on this Knit Top. At first glance I thought it’d be a fun beachy/vacation shirt. Then I tried it on and felt like Little Bo Peep. Then I turned around and saw the back – ugh, definitely not for me. And then finally, kind of liking it, but only from the front. If it wasn’t for the back, I might’ve ended up keeping it. Verdict: Returned
Pixley Hansen Scoop Neck Blouse ($48)
I wasn’t totally sold on the style of this blouse right away, but after trying it with a cardigan, I loved it. It’s a perfect spring/summer piece, and I’m a fan of the pattern. Definitely something new/different to add to my closet! Verdict: Kept
Market & Spruce Kristah Ruffle Knit Blazer ($78)
I had mixed feelings on the Ruffle Knit Blazer. I liked it because it was SO soft and felt like something I could legit go to sleep in. But I didn’t like it because it seemed a little too casual for what I was looking for – and the single button on the front annoyed me for some reason. Plus, I thought the price point was a little high for what it was. Verdict: Returned
That’s it for Fix #6! I ended up keeping 2/5 items, but still consider it a success. Since you only pay for what you keep with Stitch Fix, I’d definitely break the bank if I kept everything every time (although you do get a 25% discount if you keep everything).
