Stitch Fix #12 Review

It’s Stitch Fix time, hooray! With lots of travels coming up (and my favorite clothing seasons upon us), I was looking forward to seeing what Stitch Fix would send my way. After all, it was this time last year that I received my very first Stitch Fix and loved (and kept) everything in my box!

The past couple months my original stylist (Emily) has been MIA and I was starting to think maybe she was no longer with the company. But to my surprise, she’s back as my stylist as of this month. Yay! I had pinned a few specific SF things that I liked and also requested some fall pieces for the northeast. Here’s what I received.

41Hawthorn Dita Sleeveless Ponte Dress ($68)

Although I received this dress in a different color in a previous fix, I had pinned a solid color of the dress, in hopes of getting it to wear to the wedding I attended in August. Unfortunately it didn’t come until this fix though. While I do like it, I wasn’t crazy about it this time around, or the fact that I’d be spending so much on the exact same dress I already have (just a different color). Verdict: Returned

THML Jaylie Cowl Neck Colorblocked Poncho ($88)

While I like the idea of this poncho, I felt insanely buried in it. It would work if I was just lounging on the couch at home and wanted to cuddle myself up in a blanket, but as a top, just no. I didn’t take a photo with my arms slightly lifted, so it doesn’t look too bad here, but it was just a definite no! Verdict: Returned

Liverpool Anita Skinny Pant ($78)

Have you ever found the most perfect pair of pants and never wanted to take them off? These are SO them for me. This skinny pant can be dressed up or down, and is stretchy, soft, and comfortable. All pants should be like this! Verdict: Kept

41Hawthorn Garzota Crew Neck Blouse ($54)

This blouse was the most frustrating piece of clothing I think I’ve ever tried on. While it looks just ok on, the blouse material is thin, so there’s a need to wear a cami underneath. Fortunately one comes with it, but unfortunately, it’s connected, so it’s one big tangled mess trying to put it on. Plus, the fit was a little off on me. Verdict: Returned

Pixley Analisse Anorak Jacket ($88)

Anorak jackets are a pretty hot commodity right now, and I was dying to get one for myself after seeing an adorable styling Stitch Fix had done on Pinterest. I didn’t have a specific color I was looking for but the army green seems to be the popular/standard color for it. Let me tell you, I’m OBSESSED with this jacket! It’s lined with the softest and coziest material you can imagine. Can’t wait to wear this! Verdict: Kept

Pixley Analisse Anorak Jacket

Overall, I’m satisfied with this month’s fix. While I didn’t like every piece I received, I did receive 2 that I love and will definitely get some good use out of! I’m already looking forward to my next box from Stitch Fix. Fall and winter clothes are the best!

I got that jacket in the Spring and absolutely adore it! Good choices :)

    • October 20, 2015 / 11:10 PM

Thanks! Have you gotten good use out of yours? I’m hoping for some cooler days to wear it soon!

      • October 22, 2015 / 10:51 PM

I did for a bit while I was still in Chicago. It’s finally starting to cool off here so I hope to wear it again soon! It’s perfect for running around on the weekends!

YES TO THAT JACKET! It’s a little pricy but I would have kept it too! I requested one in my fix coming next week!

    • October 20, 2015 / 11:10 PM

I hope you get one too! Agree about the price, but if you find something you really love, sometimes you just have to bite the bullet!

Cute jacket and I’m always looking for super comfy pants!

    • October 21, 2015 / 5:41 PM

There’s nothing quite like comfy pants! And I’m so excited to rock that jacket!

  5. October 19, 2015 / 4:40 PM

That jacket is wonderful. It’s perfect for multi use and layering in the fall. I keep having similar issues with ponchos they all make me feel like I’m swimming in them, but I want one so bad!

    • October 21, 2015 / 5:56 PM

Thanks, Kati! I’m so pumped to wear it! I wish the ponchos wouldn’t be so awkward sometimes. If you find one that works, let me know!

  6. October 19, 2015 / 5:07 PM

I love that jacket! Definitely a good find there!

    • October 20, 2015 / 11:09 PM

Thanks! I’m so excited about it! Now if only Florida would have some cooler days so I could really take advantage of it!

  7. October 19, 2015 / 6:22 PM

That jacket is awesome! Army green is a really versatile color.

Thanks, girl! I’m so excited about it!

I love the items you kept. That jacket is great! I am taking a StitchFix break as my last few fixes were disappointing… BUT you may have convinced me to order one!

    • October 21, 2015 / 7:19 AM

Thanks, it really is! My last few weren’t too great either, but this one pulled through! It always helps if there are SF specific items you request! I hope you get a good one if you decide to order again!

  9. October 19, 2015 / 10:23 PM

I can’t wait until I have the money for Stitch Fix. I’m actually completely in love with that sweater poncho and the white and black shirt! Love simple pieces like though. I’m dying to find a jacket like that that actually fits me and for a good price.

    • October 21, 2015 / 5:56 PM

I hope you’re able to try it out soon! It can get expensive, so I totally feel you on that!

  10. October 20, 2015 / 8:36 AM

I am IN LOVE with that jacket! I’ve been on the fence about Stitch Fix but really think maybe I should try it out!

    • October 21, 2015 / 5:57 PM

Me too!! You definitely should! I’ve received so many great things from over the past year!

    • October 20, 2015 / 11:09 PM

Emily! She’s been really great overall – I’ve had her for the majority of my fixes over the past year.

  11. October 20, 2015 / 9:16 AM

Nice fix! I still haven’t tried this yet

    • October 21, 2015 / 7:18 AM

Thanks! It can be hit or miss, but I’ve gotten some of my favorite pieces ever from it! I hope you try it soon!

  12. October 20, 2015 / 7:45 PM

That dress looks AMAZING on you! Look at that hourglass shape! Stunning :)

    • October 21, 2015 / 6:01 PM

This is the first stitch fix review I have read. I learned a lot! How much is a monthly subscription? I love the jacket you got! Too bad about the poncho, I like the idea of it too.

    • October 20, 2015 / 11:13 PM

Thanks! It’s $20 for the “styling fee” for them to select your items and ship (they also include the prepaid shipping envelope for returns). Whatever you decide to keep you pay additional for, but the $20 from your styling fee goes toward it. And if you keep all 5 items you get a 25% discount!

  14. October 20, 2015 / 9:00 PM

I love the poncho, bummed you didn’t like it! I’m already excited for this summer because I have a $50 credit to SF. haha.

    • October 21, 2015 / 5:52 PM

It looks ok in the photo but if I lift my arms it looks so awkward and terrible lol! SO jealous of that credit, can’t believe it’s just sitting there unused for so long, ah! If only they delivered to China!

  15. October 20, 2015 / 10:57 PM

    I LOOVE that poncho!

    • October 21, 2015 / 5:59 PM

I liked it until I lifted my arms up! Then I was just swimming in it :( I so wish that one would’ve worked out!

  16. October 21, 2015 / 9:23 AM

that dress looks fabulous on you, but totally understand why you sent it back. love the pants, and that anorak jacket! that will be perfect for fall :)

    • October 27, 2015 / 9:44 PM

Thanks, Kristen! I’m so excited to wear them. Yay for Stitch Fix wins!

  17. October 23, 2015 / 12:14 AM

I love, love, love that jacket on you! Such a gorgeous keep. I would have kept it too. Mine is schedule to arrive tomorrow. I’m so excited!

    • October 27, 2015 / 9:45 PM

Thanks, Ashley! I was unsure when I pulled it out of the box, but I love it! Hoping for some more great pieces like that from Stitch Fix soon!

  18. October 24, 2015 / 9:53 PM

My favorite is the anorak jacket that you bought- very cute!!

    • October 27, 2015 / 9:44 PM

Mine too! I’m hoping we’ll get some good fall weather in Florida soon so I can wear it more often!
