November Goals

A lot of the bloggers I follow share their goals at the beginning of each month and I love reading about what others are hoping/planning to accomplish. It’s so easy to say “this is what I want to,” (which I find myself doing all the time, but I feel like by putting them in writing, you’re truly making yourself accountable for the goals you want to achieve. So this month, I’m doing just that! Here are my November goals:

  1. Finish my fist semester of grad school. This one’s kind of a freebie for me, but also a big goal! I have my last final of the semester next weekend and then I’ll be done until January!
  2. Increase social media following. I haven’t tracked the growth of my followers in the past, but it’s something I’m starting to do as of last month. This month, my biggest focus is to grow my Pinterest following to 900 and Facebook page to 385.
  3. Clean out closet/drawers and donate clothes. I’ve had a pile of clothes to donate sitting in the corner of my bedroom for a few months now (yikes), and I’ve been meaning to add to it by going through the rest of my clothes. Most importantly though, is actually making the trip to donate
  4. Finish planning Europe trip. The countdown is officially on! Next month I’ll be Europe-bound for 10 days! I have the basic she’ll of the trip planned but I still need to pull a more detailed itinerary together, especially since we won’t have too much time in each city/country!
  5. Minimize spending during the month (with the exception of Black Friday/Cyber Monday). I’ve been eating out and spending quite a bit lately and with so many expenses coming up (vacation, Christmas, big shopping days), I need to pull the reigns back on my spend!

What are your goals this month?

  • Goals are always so fun to read! That’s super exciting that your headed to Europe!! Where at exactly?? I just got back from an awesome trip to Italy and loooved it! You’re going to have a blast!!

    • Italy sounds amazing! That’s on my list for sure! This trip will be to Germany, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia + Czech Republic! I can’t wait!

  • Definitely on board with minimizing spending! We just took a big trip to Nashville for a friend’s wedding, so we really need to cut back so we’re ready for christmas shopping!

    • I hear ya! The expenses this time of year start to get crazy. I can’t imagine having to spend on wedding things too! I hope you had a great time in Nashville!

  • Europe!!!! how exciting!!!!! I love planning :)

I need to minimize spending as well. we’ll see ;)

i was already following / stalking you on pinterest, but i liked your facebook page (i am so bad with facebook) so hopefully that helps!

i seriously need to clean out my drawers and closet as well. hopefully this month. good luck!

    • Thanks, Kristen! I’m going to need to kick planning into high gear, I can’t believe how quickly this trip is sneaking up! Hope you’re able to get some cleaning out done too!

  • Yay! Good lucky :) Black Friday and Cyber Monday are my downfall, for sure. Such good sales, I cannot help myself.

    • If Bath & Body Works weren’t around, I think the spending would be cut in half. We easily take 2-3 trips there during the day with all of the different sales lol.

  • I love goal posts, I’m sharing mine tomorrow :) Good luck with yours, Europe will be so much fun!!

    • Thanks, Caitlin! I’m counting down the days til’ Europe!

  • Reducing spending is always a big goal for me too! It’s amazing how eating out for lunch or dinner can quickly eat away at your monthly budget! Your Europe trip sounds amazing! I can’t wait to hear about it!

    • Oh I know! Eating out gets me all the time – esp if someone asks me and I brought food in. I need to get better about that! I can’t wait for Europe!! I’ll have plenty to share when I get back!

  • Love reading everyone’s goals! Good luck on finishing your first semester of grad school! I know how that is :] I need to watch my spending this month too…oy!

xx katie // A Touch of Teal

    • Thanks, Katie! The light is at the end of the tunnel :)

  • The trip to Europe sounds way to fun! I cannot wait to read what you plan to visit and see. I also need to donate clothes. I have it in a bag, but I want to mail it off to Thred Up!

    • Thanks! I’m so excited for it :) I’ve heard of Thred Up but haven’t looked much into sending my stuff in. I need to do some more research!

  • When I first saw your last one about reducing spending my first thought was that’s gonna take some serious willpower this specific month – but then I saw you gave yourself exceptions for Black Friday/Cyber Monday that was probably smart!

    • I could never completely give up Black Friday/Cyber Monday lol. Trying to minimize the rest of the month just to help ease the bills for that big shopping weekend :)

  • Black Friday is always the day I accept that I will spend everything and more, haha. I”m trying to be better about it, though! Good luck with your goals, I bet you are going to rock it! And Europe?! So fun!

    • Oh yeah lol. The sales are tough to pass up! Is there anything in particular you’re planning to buy for BF?

  • Cool Daddy G

That’s a lotta goals. My goal is to be home in time to watch the Eagles on Sunday night against the Cowboys

    • I hope you made it back in time for the game! Delayed, but Go Cowboys ;)

  • Great goals! I’m huge on cyber monday but I can’t handle doing black friday anymore.

    • I love Cyber Monday too! Actually from Thanksgiving until then the online sales are pretty good! Anything specific you’re looking to get a good sale on this year?
