Fun Findings Friday #159

TGIF! I was ready for this weekend to be here before the last one even ended! I still have so much sleep to catch up from last weekend’s New York adventures, plus one of my smoke detectors that decided to LODULY alert me about a low battery over and over again starting late a couple night’s ago so I’ve been pretty tired this week. Ugh!

This weekend I’m looking forward to taking my sisters to see the new Jungle Book movie and am 99.9% confident I’m going to book a massage – the ultimate (much-needed) R&R!

Let’s get to this week’s fun findings.

Tervis Customizer

Last week I decided to bite the bullet and try out the Tervis customizer after wanting to get some custom tumblers to rep Small Towns & City Lights. I opted for a large (24 oz.) one and a small/regular (16 oz.) one, and they arrived earlier this week. You guys, I LOVE THEM. I was a little nervous about how they’d come out, how big to make the logo (because you can expand or shrink it to fit how you want on the tumbler), but they’re perfect!

Bloggers Gonna Blog Tee

I’ve been loving this Bloggers Gonna Blog Tee ($12) from afar on Etsy and just found out a few days ago it’s on sale! I’m all about graphic tees and this one is so relevant. Plus, I don’t think I have any official blogger accessories like a mug or shirt, aside from my fancy new tumblers (see above). Not that I need it, but it’s still fun!

Teens Play Oregon Trail

I grew up in the 90s and it was a great time to be alive! One of the reasons? We had Oregon Trail which was SO much fun to play. This video makes me feel so old and also afraid for the future, as a few teens play the game for the first time.

    • Isn’t it perfect?! I’m pretty sure I’d wear it all the time!

  • Love the font on that shirt–and can SO relate to the smoke detector debacle. My house in SF had one that me and my roommates couldn’t reach. We ended up putting a stool on the kitchen table. The worst!

    • UGH it really is! I was about ready to smash it to pieces!

  • Oh my gosh I remember Oregon Trail and loved that game! Your tumblers are so cute! I didn’t know you could customize them!

    • So did I! It was always a highlight of my elementary school days :) And thank you! The custom feature is fairly new, but this was my first time trying it!

  • Omg I loved Oregon Trail! That game was so high tech in elementary school! Also, cute tee &tumblr!

    • Thanks! I loved Oregon Trail too! It was always a highlight of my day to play!

    • Me too! That’s actually not me, it’s the model used in the Etsy store. But I totally agree :)

  • Love the tee. Never heard of Oregon Tra?

    • You’ve never heard of Oregon Trail?! It was the greatest computer game of the 90s!

    • Really?! Oregon Trail was the best computer game of the 90s!

Oregon Trail! I remember all those nights investing time on our trading route, my older brother surely will have a laugh at this video hahahaha.

  • OMG your Tervis is AMAZING! I’m so jealous right now!

  • Ah those Tervis are so amazing! I will have to check those out myself :]

    • You should! It’s the best purchase I’ve made in a while!

  • I would love to have that shirt! And that’s a cute Tervis.

  • Donnica Smalls

I love both of your Tervis!! And I bought that shirt :) I would love to play Oregon Trail right now. I use to hate that I’d get like 200lb of buffalo meat, but could only put like 15 in the wagon lol

    • Thank you! Isn’t the shirt the cutest?! And YESSSS so many problems to deal with in the Oregon Trail world, haha.

  • Oregon Trail was the best–I kind of want to play it right now, ha ha. Those Tumblers turned out great!!
