Fall/winter clothes are my absolute favorite. While we don’t get to wear them too often in Florida, I’m fortunate to have some travel escapes planned to cooler places to enjoy the weather of the seasons.
For my November Stitch Fix box, I requested some pieces for fall/winter – specifically some items that can be easily packed in a carry-on without taking up a ton of space for my upcoming trip to northern Europe. This will probably be my last one for the year since this time of year starts to get pretty expensive + travels! Let’s see what my stylist sent.
Staccato Madelene Raglan Roll Sleeve Knit Top ($48)
Raglan tops are my favorite and this one didn’t disappoint. It’s a stretchy, soft, material and is definitely something I can see myself wearing often. With mid-length sleeves, it’s also a top that could be worn most of the year!
Pixley Abriella Waffle Knit Cardigan ($48)
Cardigans have always been my jam. I was excited to see a purple colored one since that’s not a color I currently own a cardi in, but I’m not totally crazy about the waffle texture. Plus, from the side it seems to look much better and longer, while in the front it looks shorter and I feel like a little more awkward-looking (compare the side with my hand in pocket and without).
RD Style La Roda Pullover Sweater ($68)
This pullover sweater was my big surprise-like in the box. When I first pulled it out I thought, “Great.. this is going to be just like that frumpy sweater dress from last month.” But I was wrong. I don’t feel frumpy in it and it’s actually really comfortable (unlike a lot of sweaters that have that itchy feel)!
Octavia Bolton Plaid Scarf ($34)
I’m probably one of the only people that doesn’t own a plaid blanket scarf. I’ll spare you my terrible scarf tying skills below (seriously, how do people perfect the art of the scarf tie?!), but I’m thinking this could potentially be a great add to my closet, especially for these upcoming travels.
Andrew Marc Savana Quilted Puffer Coat ($118)
This coat had serious out-of-the-box potential. It looked warm, I liked the teal color, and it was long (most of my winter coats don’t come down as far. But when I tried it on, there was one fatal flaw. The pocket area. While the fleece lining is super warm when you put your hands in, it adds an extra pooch to the stomach area, which is definitely not something I need more of! Verdict: Returning
Keep or Return?
I have a couple days left to decide what to keep and what to send back from my November Stitch Fix. What pieces do you like/dislike? I’d love to hear your feedback!
